Ten years of Pagus

Ten years of Pagus

28 January 2023

A few weeks ago we welcomed 2023, which for us represents an important anniversary: our presence and activity in the area as a cultural association has now gone on for more than twenty years, but it has only been 10 years, since 2013, that Pagus Wine Tours was born as a travel agency. Happy birthday to us!

For this special occasion we received a very unexpected gift. We have been selected as winners of the Best of Wine Tourism 2023 award, the oscars of wine tourism proposed by the Great Wine Capitals international network, of which Verona is also a part. The category for which we were awarded is that of wine tourism services, "for having created, through a careful selection of the proposed itineraries, experiences and tastings, an offer that adapts the welcome in the wine territories to an increasingly informed and demanding tourist”. What can we say? We couldn't be happier, and we immediately wanted to celebrate the anniversary with our friends and collaborators. Many of them joined us for a toast in our store, and it was also an opportunity to remember many beautiful moments spent together in these 10 years, thanks to a photo gallery that we set up in our tasting room.

Time passes, it is true, but certainly our enthusiasm does not fade. Indeed, we have many projects buzzing in our heads for this new year that has just begun. Alongside the activities of tours and wine experiences, we have founded our exclusive Wine Club, the first in the city of Verona, with a newsletter and entirely dedicated social pages. We have already planned various events in our marvelous eighteenth-century tasting room, in the company of experts and producers, where the wine and our territory will be the protagonists. In short, we like to think that we have not lost our vocation as a cultural association from which we started, and we hope that these will be opportunities for meeting and sharing, that will allow many to approach the fascinating world of wine.
