If you are interested in a cooking experience Pagus can offer you an incredible day of genuine food and wine discover. The cooking lesson will take place in Tinazzi winery in Bardolino, lake Garda. The winery is in a peaceful location surrounded by vineyards and nearby the lake.
You’ll be welcomed by the owner and his family which involved in the art of winemaking since many generations. Our half-day cooking lesson is the best way to indulge yourself with good taste and to learn traditions of cooking authentic Italian and Veronese recipes in an informal and friendly environment.
During the cooking lesson, you will create a full meal and your teacher will provide you with an explanation on all recipes using traditional Italian cooking methods. The classes are fully hands-on… are you ready for “getting your hands dirty”?
Program of the day at Tinazzi:
Once there you’ll have a welcome drink offered by the family. You’ll meet the owner that will introduce you in their home and cellar. In the farmhouse, you will start to “work”. The host will introduce and present the day’s menu. Everybody will cook all the courses with the help of the teacher. You will learn the basic skills necessary to prepare authentic Italian dishes. All the ingredients are farm-to-table in order to support local producers. After a couple of hours of cooking you’ll enjoy the fruits of your work! You’ll have lunch combined with Tinazzi wines (Bardolino). At the end of the tour you’ll receive the cookbook with recipes of the day.

Please NOTICE: the tour leader, in respect of all the guests, will wait for you in case of late maximum for 15 minutes.
We want you to spend a lovely day with no distress so, please, in booking our tours, inform us if you have limited mobility (in some old cellars there are stairs); or if you have any intolerance or allergy about food/wine (some tours are including appetizers in the cellar or lunch in local restaurant).
We ask you to inform us if you have any appointment after the tour (if you booked a train ticket, an opera show in Arena or a reservation for a restaurant), so we can do our best to respect the schedule.
In the cellar, the temperature is constant 15 Celsius degrees (59 Fahrenheit), so we suggest to take with you a sweater or a jacket; if it is possible we will try to show you the vineyards, so it’s recommended to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes.
